Marriott Courtyard, Oxford

One of the world’s leading hotel brands, Marriott Hotels Inc, have unveiled their Courtyard by Marriott in Oxford. As a global brand, standards were closely adhered to from a design point of view.

With a focus on corporate clients, the hotel required a sophisticated, modern, comfortable bedroom and intelligent storage solutions for today’s discerning consumer.

148 bedrooms across 6 floors were fully furnished in a rich dark walnut colour, which included headboards, wardrobes, case goods, desks and mirrors by Woodland. The client chose a panelled feature wall to add interest and texture. All drawers were fitted with top-end Blum soft close hinges for a smooth gliding close, adding to the high-end feel of the guest experience.

To optimise space in the bathroom, the client chose a combination vanity unit which brings together the vanity unit, toilet WC and sink for a unified look. The bathroom worktop was a 20mm engineered stone with beautiful veins of greys and rustic tones, as well as an illuminated mirror to create a luxurious, spa-like feel.

The furniture and finishes clearly denote the brand’s identity.
