Our story began in 1987.

Kitchen and bedroom showroom opened to the public in Ballymena.

Land in Rasharkin was acquired and the construction of a purpose-built manufacturing facility got underway.

Woodland started manufacturing kitchens and fitted furniture for local contractors and schools.

A new generation of the McCloskey family joined the business.

A purpose built 98,000 square foot manufacturing facility was built to support business growth.

Woodland began exporting flat-pack kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture to retailers and major distributors in the UK.

Market opportunities led to the development of the Contracts division, offering complete furniture solution to hotel and leisure sectors.

Business continued to expand with the acquisition of the adjoining 6,000 sq ft building.

Plans commenced to build a New Product Development and Marketing Suite at our Head Office in Rasharkin. The Ballymena showroom is sold as the company focuses solely on trade customers.

New Product Development and Marketing Suite opens, taking the overall company size to 105,000 sq ft. Investment was made to our I.T infrastructure and a new production line. Celebrated 30th anniversary in business.

A new 33,000 sq ft production and assembly facility was built, bringing Woodland's overall footprint to 138,000 sq ft. The facility provides additional space for finishing lines, warehouse space and a new training and development hub. The yard was extended for additional trailer and car parking spaces.

Woodland turnover reaches almost £20m - their highest turnover to date. The strong growth was achieved through a combination of new business from hotel contract fit-outs and new product development in bathroom furniture ranges.
